Forged aluminium flange for automotive heat-exchanger assemblies, in an alloy selected for brazing compatibility.

3003 is selected here for formability and brazeability rather than strength: the flange has to pass through a controlled-atmosphere brazing cycle without distorting the sealing face.
The part also has to stay leak-tight through thermal cycling, so internal continuity through the sealing area is one of the requirements we work to.
