As body-in-white moves to aluminium, hinges have to lose mass without losing stiffness. The forged 6082 body carries bending load through a continuous grain path — a cast hinge at the same weight cannot do that.
Typical follow-on operations are CNC machining of the pin bores and anodising or e-coating, organised through our partner network.
